When I close my eyes
all I see is you,
scared,
everything spinning too fast,
a blur.
When I open my eyes,
I realize,
I too am scared,
everything spinning too fast,
a blur.
When I close my eyes,
all I hear is brakes,
hitting the floor
and the tires,
coming to a painfully slow stop.
When I open my eyes,
all I hear is my heart,
hitting the floor
and my breathing,
come to a painfully slow stop.
