Love's Wrath
I do not know love's name
nor do I understand love's game.
But upon these eyes I kiss
and I know something's amiss.
I have felt love's brush
on my arm in the mornings' rush.
And when I turn to grasp it's sleeve
it evaporates, my heart deceived.
I feel the empty space in my bed
and the lonely thoughts in my head.
Love has yet to cross my path
but already I feel love's wrath.
