Bodies slinking through tangled limbs
Faces masked by mystery
Pale skins gleaming in artificial moonlight
The night is full of song

Eyes look down upon us
Glittering purple and gold
Street lamps stand tall on feathered posts

Couples sway to unusual beats
Torsos blend the site
Blurs of gowns and borrowed life
Finery be divine

The crown and scepter passed
The night begins to fade
Another twirl, another glance
When lovers start their quarrel
