And then she was screaming
Unintelligible words
That somehow meant so much to me.
As she spoke
Her tears flooded the world;
Endless, relentless -
They somehow meant so much to me.
And yet,
When she sank to the floor,
Eyes wide,
Heart aflame,
I told her she meant nothing to me.

The author's comments:
I wanted to experiment with a different perspective, since as a girl, I'm so used to writing from the female point of view.
