Ode to my Bed

Warm and inviting
It’s always there
Waiting for the sun to set
So I will pay a visit

Throughout the day it
Calls to me
Misses me
Without me it feels
Empty
I fill up my bed
Just as juice fills a glass

Going to bed
Is like entering heaven
I am covered in
Soft
Puffy
Clouds
Its comfort erases my stress
It is my soothing spa

When I’m having a bad day
Or if I’m really
Sleepy
My bed becomes a shoulder
To lean on

It brings a smile to my face
As I go under its silky sheets
Fall asleep
And begin to
Dream
