This is my letter to the world,
That never lets me be.
Rendering my soul powerless,
Oh Lord how I tried to see.

With ceaseless hands did it smite,
My every dream and desire,
I am searching for the light,
But only darkness follows me.

With great resolve did I,
Take the path less traveled,
Forced now to say goodbye,
To a world that was only a dream.

This is my letter to a world,
That will never guarantee,
The simple pleasures we take for granted
For bestow them only can He.
