One day I came to school
And I felt so small
Was no longer cool
Or even cared about at all

Couldn’t find my friends
Lost all my confidence
I had to trust again
‘N I didn’t understand
All I know is...

You’ll be sorry
You never let me play
You’ll be sorry
When I make it big someday
You’ll want to be my friend
When I’m up on that stand
Those who brought me down won’t be on that list
Sorry, sorry, that’s just the way it is

I became someone else
To scared to be myself
Worried about who’s judging me
Now my head’s held up high
No worries in my eyes
Because I know,

You’ll be sorry
You never let me play
You’ll be sorry
When I make it big someday
You’ll want to be my friend
When I’m up on that stand
Those who brought me down won’t be on that list
Sorry, sorry, that’s just the way it is

I’ll only thank you
For one small thing
Making me who I am today
Your unkindness made me stronger
Those lost promises made me a believer
In those kids who don’t talk, who are shy and cry in the night

In the year 2008

Now I’ll never forget
I won’t forget the way you made me feel
Yeah I know, how they feel
And one day they’ll say

I thank all my friends who believed in me till the end
All my family who supported me
Those who made my dreams come true
But to those of you
Who brought me down, I hope you’re sorry
You never let me play, I hope you’re sorry
Ha, I made it big today
Now you’ll call and ask to be my friend
And I’ll just hang up the phone
No, I can’t trust you again
Believe me, I’ve learned my lesson

I hope you’re sorry!

The way I felt all through elementary school...this song means so much to me & I'd love to sing it one day.
