In This Garden
Brilliant oranges and yellows
Paint the dainty flowers into spring.
The grass…
so strong,
and so vibrantly green,
continue to grow like
thousands
of
mini
sky
scrapers.
The chilly morning air causes
Painful
Prickles
To
prick
my skin.
The red ants bite stings my foot as
a horn pierces an ear used to silence…
In a slightly swaying tree…
across the small circle of heavenly garden…
sits a robin.
Quietly watching me sink
into the peacefulness of the moment.
Suddenly he begins to sing.
Filling his chest full of air just to push it back out
with the high,
swirling notes
he knows so well.
In this garden,
peace dwells in all the corners…
And in this garden,
There is hope.
