The lonely man across the way
It hurt to hear he died today
No one knew him, no one cared
But there was one short glance we shared
I should have made the move to say
Hello sir, have a happy day
But I made no attempt to talk
And he just kept on his daily walk
He walked alone and lived alone
He cried alone and died alone
And now my sorrowful regret
I should have said hello.
