Mornin' Pandemonium
I’m sorry for yelling,
It was early, much too early
And you were shoving words in my face.
I’m sorry for not listening
But my mind was on the coffee
Glistening in the corner.
The aroma caressed my senses,
Coaxed me away from your words.
I stumbled past your chatter,
Yelling at you “stop,
I just need the coffee”
Once awakened from my slumber,
My mind was open to absorb all your talk,
But it was late, much too late,
I angered you.
I’m sorry.
