He wrote a book
But never had the courage to publish it for the world to read
He was capable of everything
But he sought nothing
He spoke wisely
But refrained from educating others
He learned quickly
But forgot just as easily
He understood compassion
But never forgave
He lived freely
But behind closed doors
He grew wiser as he aged
But never gained the respect of his young
He thought deeply
But could never find a satisfying answer
And so he sat.
But never did he relax.
