Fight for Life

The time just seems to fly,
On wings of tears and broken lullabies.
As each day,
Becomes a fight to survive,
But when can you find peace?
From a war
That will never cease to be waged
And battles that cannot be won.
There are no scars,
Only open wounds,
left forever bleeding out sorrows,
As blood replaces tears,
With hope life's only tourniquet.
And there are no weapons,
No victors, no losers
Only souls forever grappling
To find a purpose.
