Shift to the left
Now slide on over to the right
I have an eye like a hawk, making sure I don’t run into anyone
I speed down the mountain
The sun up against my skin, yet the air screaming on my pores
My goggles like a sand storm in the middle of the Sahara
Yellow
…and quick
I am now on the lift on my way down to the bottom
Where I will be picked up
Inside
I weep
Knowing that I won’t feel the feeling again for another
… Five
…six months
Gloomily, I step down into the basement where she will
…rest
