I Am
I am a daisy.
My pedals are my beauty
but if you look I am so much more.
I sway in the breeze
but the wind does not blow me over.
I am strong, I will not be broken.
I may look small but I am mighty.
I do my best to bring light to a dark world.
A little rain doesn’t bother me,
if fact it helps me grow.
I live for the sun
and in the sun I look best.
But in the ground is where I live.
I am rooted in the earth.
Though some may pry me from my home
I will not go without fight.
For without my roots I will die,
shrivel up and be no more.
So let my roots run deep
where I can flourish and grow.
