One More Time

As I walk among the concrete trees
The sense of wonder comes falling down on me
A feeling of power and infinite gain
Developing around a diminishing pain
Then I see what is really to be seen
The facts hidden behind the screen
And the feeling of wonder becomes so cold
The humble cruelties become so bold

So we must return every day
Change the world with what we say
It is time for us to make our crime
Of needing to fix it just one more time
If only we can change what others made
To all the people who need our aid
It is time for us to make our crime
Of needing to fix it just one more time

Yet another man reaches up for me
A sense of imprisonment I can free
A little girl without the love to live
Embraces the kindness I can give
This is the kind of person we can all be
To give away what others need
We just have to open up our eyes
And never have to say another goodbye

So we must return every day
Change the world with what we say
It is time for us to make our crime
Of needing to fix it just one more time
If only we can change what others made
To all the people who need our aid
It is time for us to make our crime
Of needing to fix it just one more time

This is the kind of person we can all be
To give away what others need
We just have to open up our eyes
And never have to say another goodbye
No more goodbyes
Never say a goodbye
