I Hear a Sound
The trumpet sounds, I hear it play, the sound, it softens, then blasts away, my feet start tapping in a rhythmic way, and my arms move, and start to sway.
The sound it flies, through my mind, leaving all memories behind.
It plays louder, to the highest note, and I feel as if I was afloat, on the ocean’s waves that are rough and that roar.
Then it quiets, almost gone, I wish I could hear it from dusk ‘till dawn, but then it ends, the music’s gone.
