I Am

I am a daughter.
I wonder if my parents will be upset.
I hear punishment and praise.

I see opportunities.
I want to have fun.
I am a daughter.

I am a sister.
I pretend I know everything.
I feel much more wise than I actually am.
I touch the life of my sibling.
I worry about being a good role-model.
I cry when I have to say goodbye.

I am a sister.

I am a friend.

I understand your moods.
I say what is on my mind.
I dream about our future.
I try to make you feel secure.
I hope we will help each other grow.
I am a friend.
