So what that its prom.
You don’t win anything valuable.
You don’t gain anything special.
All you do is dress up in an outfit that you would never were otherwise,
Coat your face in colored powder and gloss,
Spray your hair using five cans of hairspray and a box of bobby pins,
Clue fake nails onto your real ones,
Pay top dollar for your hair to be fixed up,
and were the most uncomfortable shoes in the world that you will just take off after the first five minutes into the prom.
Nobody even dances.
The guys and girls just stand in huddles around on the dance floor some what moving their body from side to side.
And even if they dance its either a song that tells you what to do as you do it, or it is a slow dance which is the same thing as moving your body from side to side, you just have a partner this time.
People spend too much money, time, and energy on prom.
They make such a big deal out of it, it’s embarrassing.
But yet I have done this.
I wore a dress that I would never were otherwise,
I coated my face in colored powder and gloss,
Sprayed five cans of hairspray in my hair along with a box of bobby pins,
Clued fake nails onto my real ones,
Paid top dollar for my hair to be curled in a bun,
and I were the most uncomfortable shoes and took them off after the first five minutes into the prom.
I may have not gotten prom queen,
Or even had the best date in the world.
But I had a great time…
Laughing with all of my friends.
Sometimes laughing so hard I cried.
So yes I am embarrassed my self to say that I am one of those people.
