Mom
From pregnancy to birth,
She sang me songs and read to me,
To try and calm the child she was bringing to this earth.
Labor was not easy,
We were both very sick
If a choice had to be made, it was me she picked.
I wasn’t always the best child,
Sometimes I went astray,
But no matter what I did, she loved me anyway.
I am going to miss my mom when I move away,
But no matter where I go,
In my heart she’ll stay.
