THE SUN GLARES DOWN
WIND WHIPS IN ALL DIRECTIONS
WE LOSE ALL TRACK OF TIME
I MELT INTO THE SKY

HE IS BESIDE MY
OUR HANDS INTERTWINE
CRUSTED WITH SALT AND SAND
I HEAR THE SEAGULLS SING
MY EYES WANDER
OUR HEARTS SMILE IN UNISON.

THE SETTING SUN DISPERSES EMOTION
I SWALLOW IT DOWN
OUR MINDS BREATHE PERFECTION
THE SUNSET BLEEDS RED

HIS LIPS MEET MINE
SUDDENLY I AM SPINNING
AND MY WORLD IS ON MUTE
TWO POUNDING HEARTS ECHO
THE SALTY SCENTS PIECE MY BEING
I CAN TASTE THE MOMENT ON MY LIPS
AND CRASHING WAVES FILL MY EARS

I AM ALIVE.
