Where I Come From

I’m from happiness,
Sunshine, love, fun.
Shrieks of laughter,
An old ball bouncing on an older road.

I’m from discipline,
Study, study, study.
Do your best, no matter what.
Sometimes my best isn’t good enough.

I’m from determination,
Go, go, go.
No ones gonna beat me.
You have to get ahead in life to win.

I’m from strength,
My mother, father.
Don’t let anyone see you cry,
Just hold your head up.

I’m from trust,
Friends and family.
Laughter, tears, smiles,
They will never let me down.

I’m from responsibility,
I’m sorry, I made a mistake,
How can I fix it?
We all screw up

I’m from,
Old soccer balls
Swings sets
One more daddy please!

Keep climbing higher
Catching fireflies late at night
Miss Mary Mack

I’m from,
My mother, my father
My sister, my friends.
And one day it’s all gonna pay off,
I’m from me.
