Smile for the Camera
I will not smile,
That isn’t how I feel.
How could I express to you
Something that isn’t real.
I’ve looked into the mirror,
It being what I didn’t want to see.
It’s because I couldn’t stand
What I understand now stood for me.
When between me and the camera,
Everything is clear.
I look with horror
Isolated, I see myself, with fear.
So to the camera I decide,
I do not intend to lie.
I hope maybe the camera will see
That inside I want to cry.
