A Strange World

Such a strange world this is
How peculiar its many features
When gazing into its sanctum
A house for the oddest creatures
Beneath the skins of many beasts
Burn the blood of the inferno
In other pelts just dying embers
In them a blazing furrow
Charcoal eyes, such things repel
The smaller of the beasts
Who lack their claws and fangs
When at the crimson feast
Tame is but a foreign term
Within a land of shifty strays
And yet there is still balance
Despite the disarray
