Her World Is

May 6, 2009
The world smells like hairspray,
Smeared mascara,
A dirty shirt,
Dusty, glamour,
Faked smiles,
A TV glares,
Headphones pipe
Little voices into
Skulls of hardly listening
Her world is a linoleum floor,
A lack of privacy,
A glaring TV and a blaring ipod
And porn on a flickering computer screen,
Doing nothing for her.
Her world is lipstick on her sleeve,
Mascara on her eyelid,
A piece of pesto in her teeth.
Her world is a cell phone,
And headphones that prevent
All contact with her family.
Her world is laziness,
Awake 'til morning,
Sleep til noon,
A failing grade in school,
But a fast paced social life.
Her world is her girlfriend,
Her friends,
Her asphalt family.
Her world is not whole.
