"Want it more than you're afraid of it"-Bill Cosby

Everything was starting to look up and seeming to take a good turn
I took a chance for the unknown and it bit me sharp like a snake
Where do I go from here, where do I go for some answers
I simply keep going on, letting what I can’t control pass like an earthquake

This doesn’t mean I’m giving up and saying screw it all
It simply means I’m not taking anymore irrationality
And I want to throw everything out the transparent window
Yet since this can’t be done and because I don’t care that much
People will have to suffer with my bitter tongue and shadow

I shall not hold a civil tongue or filter thy thoughts
One shall walk with pride and glory in mine eyes
I am not converted and take pleasure in my doings
What a satisfaction it is to know that great ideas never die

Thy doings are mine own to claim and not to be buried
I’ll take no shame for expressing a thought or being to myself
Great triumph is bestowed upon thy shoulders once a decision is made
I’m proud and exceed in joy without needing help

My words make little sense to the eyes that dance upon them
Little does that affect their meaning or success in expression
They lay on paper with no more sanity than I gave them
My words enter another mind with a new impression

I thought this piece represented a lot of what people go through when coming to a realization of life
