A Better Me

I see someone else hidden deep within me;
This person only I can see.
She’s trying very hard to get out,
Of this long forsaken drought.
Oh the talent that could be,
That which only I can clearly see.
I’ll have to break away one of these days.
When I do, I’ll surely amaze.
Until then I sit and wait,
And in my mind create,
Ideas and plans to put on my plate,
So that I can begin an empty slate.
