Connect
As puzzles piece
While strings knot
We connect
Like the spiral to a notebook
Like water to the ocean
We are temporary though permanent
Our footsteps wash away
Most days our words are never published
We distract ourselves with physical
Though everything is spiritual
The flow of energy born in sincere thought
Viewed when eyes are open
When our bodies become less of who we are
And more of the shoe to which the soul travels
We walk, we grow
We learn, we know
Words carrying weight
With tone we direct it
Perfecting with act on emotion moments
Language connects and seperates
It is a barrier
It is a bridge
one, two, or none
Is it where we're going
where we are
or where we've come from
We make our ties
Through our thoughts
beneath our clothes
beside our memory
And for ourselves
