A Solitary Sea

If earth is a man the waves are its breathe. Breathe in Breathe out.
There was something about the consistency of it that calmed her.
Like lying next to a sleeping baby.
The dark sky faded to gray where clouds had assorted themselves among a few winking stars.
Yellow light glowed from the sleeping city behind her
as she watched waves laced with white foam crawl toward her.
