One Night Stand

Mystery comes about without delay,
When love is lost, and life is high and dry;
Courtesy ends with the last light of day.

When the best of life sets out to fray,
Then all that is left is the what and why;
Mystery comes about without delay.

Yet you find what you need when you may,
The things that proceed to make your mind fly;
Courtesy ends with the last light of day.

Things just tumble towards black and gray,
And all things are stuck between low and high;
Mystery comes about without delay.

Mixing around and misled within play,
You'd never know that it was all a lie;
Courtesy ends with the last light of day.

When things go bad, you end up as prey;
Your heart curls up as if to die –
Mystery comes about without delay
Courtesy ends with the last light of day.

This is good. Although I feel like I do not get the meaning. I like how you refrain the lines in your piece. Good job anyway!
