the girl with the false identity

She’s been with many guys
They made her heart flutter
She knew she wouldn't be whole without them
So she tried her hardest to keep them
But they broke her beautiful heart
I watch and see her cover
All her pin and suffering
She stuffs it deep inside

Because of them she thinks she's ugly
She thinks she's plain
She thinks she's boring
She sees herself as something different
Than what she really is
She poses her own false identity

But truthfully
She is funny and exciting
She is unique
She is beautiful
And if she would let me
I can remove this false identity

I would try to chase after her love
But I am just a pigeon and you are a dove

Surprisingly I like this poem. I am not much for love poems at all, but this one is nice. Short and sweet, how poetry should be. Check out some of my poems!

That poem is beautiful and obviously very heartfelt.
