They might be in love.
The whites of their eyes shine like pearls
Grown from salt water and sand
Twisted in blankets and limbs,
Anxious panting and pounding blood.
They might be in love.
She is full of force-fed
Inhibitions
Grown from salt water and sand,
But with every whispered breath
She realizes
They might be in love.
Wordlessly, he tells her
Her fear is nothing
but salt water and sand.
She touches his face, fingers quaking.
He traces her hip bones and smiles.
They are lost in a love
Grown from salt water and sand.
