Nonsense

i tend to find dreams
lying in the corners of my nonsense mind
where guitar strings become tightropes
strung loosely across rivers
i sink deep within the sand
descending not to hell
but another universe of some sort
quite different from our natural world
sometimes i make believe that
it's all real
instead of silver bullets
i dream of cotton candy skies
and thousand watt smiles
peace signs stretching across the nations
etched into arms and legs
and hearts
beating
incessantly
as
one
