I woke up one morning
On a bright sunny day,
Not knowing what awaits
My friends and I.
As I arrive at school
I can see everyone
Dressed and happy.
Not knowing what awaits
My friends and I.
Periods go by.
Everything’s okay.
Then I see the two
Arrive. All in black.
Not knowing what awaits
My friends and I.
I see their weapons
Pointed at my friend.
I need to help. I hear
The roar. I am
Bleeding. It hurts.
Now knowing
What awaited
My friends and I.
