The Flame
There’s a flame,
That crisps our skin,
And enlightens our spirits.
It only sparks meaning
When a passion ignites,
And strikes the wax candle,
Melting our spirits,
Crushing our beliefs,
Everything we have goes
Running down to the ground,
And crashes fast,
Then splashes back up
And it hits our face.
As we realize,
That this flame can make
The darkest day illuminate.
But it isn’t necessary,
We don’t need this spark of
Extra light, we think we do.
Although it’s comforting,
It just fascinates our imagination,
It pulls us away from reality.
