As I Walk

As I walk down the street
Never knowing who I've been
Overcome by defeat
I realized only then
As I walk up the stairs
Trying not to trip
All I see are the glares
Saying don't you slip
As I walk through the door
I feel again at home
All I want is some more
Of this sweet shalom
As I walk to my bed
I feel alive
As I lay down my head
I am ready to thrive
