Promise me a thousand lies
Tell me things will get better
Everything will work out
Make me believe
That I can trust you

Prove to me by example
Show me you’re past
Tell me you went through this too
Make me believe
That I can trust you

Tell me that life is hard
But everyone goes through this
And I will come out stronger
Make me believe
That I can trust you

Promise me that I’ll figure it out
Everyone gets what they deserve
And the good guy can finish first
Make me believe
That I can trust you

Promise me
Your promises are real

I really liked this poem but the strongest line was probably "Promise me a thousand lies" I think it is really great and I've read some of your other work. I think that if you looked at this again, edited a big, changed the lines up a bit, it could get published in the magazine. But if not, don't be discouraged. Your a great writer! Keep up the good work
