I will not leave

She is so strong
and yet so fragile
Survived the storm
but crambled at a word
of expectation in a language unknown
Everything she's known is madness
in a sense
I lost my innocence because of a mighty scream
that could not have been held within
any longer than she already withheld it
And now the words are out
loud and painful
They are followed by a million of kisses and hugs
I feel the love
and I believe her

And now it hurts
to see her crumble
And laugh through
teary eyes
She doesn't seem to
know her way around the jungle
that seems to be inside her mind
And I cannot save her
and she will not listen to anyone else
but the voice in her head
It tells her lies about
being alone and the best
She knows no such thing is true
but pretends it is, so all the rest
will give up and leave her alone
this time truly

No mother, I will not
I will stand right here
through the sad song
about your life as
an immigrant
