I see a man upon the sea
Steering a boat he beacons me
Come feel the wind, come smell the salt
And live with me upon the sea

How can I be upon the sea?
I cannot swim I will surely drown
And then where would we be?
You do not want to live with me upon the sea

I do I do want you upon the sea
I need you to be with me
If you cannot swim I will give you fins
And then you’ll live with me upon the sea

Would you really give me fins so I can live upon the sea?

I’d give you wings if you asked me
But what use are wings when you need fins to live upon the sea?

Says me
So I can fly up out of the sea
And back into your arms where you keep me
And so I flew across the water
And lived upon the sea
