Im wraped up tight in paper and rags
all my wordly possesions in a green garbage bag
My hairs streaked with grease sticking close to my face
i feel so alone in this cold cramped up space
they look down at me with disgust in their eyes
yet they still ignore me and my silent cries
all i want is a word for a minute or two
can i borrow that word?
may i speak to you?

The author's comments:
i am currently working on a project to help end poverty in Canada and i was really inspired by a guest speaker who came to my school, and thats when i wrote this.

Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels.
The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes -
the ones who see things differently.
They're not fond of rules and they have no respect for the status quo.
They push the human race forward.

Keep working -- this piece has some great potential. i especially love the line about worldly posessions in a green garbage bag. I can picture it so well!! Can you take a look at some of my work, please? TeenInk.com/raw/Poetry/article/100136/Caged-Birds/
