My Grandparent's House

Down the road
Around the corner
Is a wonderful place I go.
Surrounded by cows,
Flowers waking to the morning sun.
A daffodil springs up to meet us
The honey bee waits inside
Games games games.
That is what we do
Marbles can be quite fun,
If it is properly done.
The brown marble stings us all
White shows mercy.
Sugar and lemons combine
For ultimate accompanying drink.
Shuffleboard is next!
The buttons fly by
Black and red
Red and black
A victor is crowned, and
We must go.
Back around the corner,
And up the road.
Goodbye daffodil
Goodbye bee.
