My Pledge
With my right hand raised
I solemnly swear
To love myself for who I am
And always care
When I look in the mirror
I promise to smile
Because I know all the things that are bad
Will only stay a while
I let go of my bad decisions
And past mistakes
And promise from now on
Only good choices I’ll make
Never again will I let someone else choose
This is my life I claim it
And never will I be an object
For just anyone to use
When you look at me you will not
See a frown on my face
I know who I am
No one can take my place
So much of life left
I’m not nearly done
No more being close to the edge
For myself all this I pledge
