Crimson roses
For my love
Scarlet letters
From pretty blood
Glitter visible
In my veins
The cursive reflects
As it fills the page
Attach my note
Sealed with a kiss
Red and stained
From velvet lips
The petals are wilting
From our time apart
Wanting the comfort
Of sun tanned arms
Thorns bite skin
Spill pretty, glittered blood
Salted tears
Intensify red cuts
Crimson petals
Fall one by one
Grace vanilla skin
More illuminate than sun
I look up smiling
And now I know
It’s a promise from
My crimson rose
