I can say it clear as day,
And yet not even you can hear me say,
“I love you.”
I can scream it with all the air in my lungs,
But it means nothing if I’m not listened to.
I’m so close to you, yet miles apart.
I just wish you would see,
That there is much more you and me could be.
I’m still on mute…but I’ll be waiting as long as it takes
I’ll even wait until the sky turns green and the grass turns blue.
Because even then, I’ll still love you.
