Brittany's memories

Everyday I’d walk you home
Then I’d text you on your phone

We laughed till we cried
The happiness you’d find

When you were around
I miss that sound
The sound of your laughter

I never got to say goodbye
Many tears I will cry

One day I will see you again
And I’ll hug you forever
They’ll say let go
and I’ll say never

We were best friends
till the end
The end that came too soon

When I look up in the sky
At that shining moon
I remember you

I know you can hear me
I know you’re there
You and your beautiful hair

I miss our snuggie time
With your gangster shoes

You were the person
I never thought I’d lose

When I wasn’t feeling to hot
On those particular days
You’d make that face
And it would all go away

How could this happen
It was so hostile
I miss you
And your gorgeous smile

We can never be torn apart
You have a special place in my heart

I miss you
I miss you so bad
I miss the memories we had
I miss you…

This is a poem in remembrance of Brittany Kirk who was murdered along with her brother and mother by her step-dad. She was only 14 and didn't have the chance to live out her life.
