Against all,
There in hallow hope,
I pray for picturesque promises to save me
Yet they don’t even faze me.
Feeding from a fiction fairy tale,
This is where I hide, it leaks of lies.
Looking for luck
Within the languid lock which I stay stuck.
Trying to trust
That the tragic times won’t tear us down.
Drowning in the dark desolation,
I slip into a sound of soothing salvation.
There I taste a timely treasure,
Each echoing escape
Starts to take a shielding shape.
Misery may mark months,
But years will yield our lasting love.
