We Burn Out
We burn out
Blue and red
Through words and actions
Attractions and failures
Who we are determined under reputations and words mouth
Blue
For in the dark when no one sees
So bent on blowing out and over
But you’re still down
Red, sparking through our eyes
And disguised in our breath
Racing through us
When you’re on the spot
Anyone can make or break
And cut you down
When you’re graded every single second
And scored for style points
Can we find a way?
Or just breathe
Will we ever reach the stars?
Just shine bright
In anyone and everyone’s presents
Or spin out
Burning out like a title wave
Cause when we fall
Will they hear crash and come running?
Or will we flood minds of what could have been
Even if we aim high and reach for the stars
Will we be seen?
Or grouped together in patterns
Maybe will be the one
That shines brightest
The one that guides you home
Even then, will sink below the horizon
