I Am Offended

I am offended.

I can't pray in public

I can't sing "Joy to the World"

I can't set up a nativity scene in my front yard-

I'm "Shoving Religion" down "people's" throats.

I am offended.

Everyone speaks during the "moment of silence"

No one says the Pledge of Allegiance.

It's ok to drop the "F" bomb

But if I bring my Bible to school I'M crazy?

I am offended

Atheists can publicly denounce GOD ALMIGHTY

Catholics can cross themselves

But BAPTISTS are fanatics?

I am offended.

Liars have senate seats

Fools represent our nation

PRAYER was taken out of school

and no one has protested YET?

STAND UP, AMERICA!!

You seem to think that if you are not able to impose your religion and oppression upon others that you are oppressed. In a way that is true. I support your oppression because you wish to oppress others. You wish to impose your religious institutions upon me. I am offended that you have the nerve to post this.

The common people's interests are merely talked about. Politicians will pretend to have plans to act on people's interests in order to win elections. After that point, it is solely up to their discretion what happens (at least until the next election). The president has the power of executive order which carries the effect of the law.

Every society needs people of "ethical opinions that are not shared by the general population." If all of those people left the ... (more »)

AgentOrange:

I hear people talk about manipulative politicians not caring about people all the time.  But I fail to see how anybody actually knows that.  It seems like a bunch of stereotyping to me.  I think it's much more likely that the majority of politicians are misguided do-gooders than scheming, rich people.

I agree that every country needs ethical opinions that are not shared by the majority.  However I believe this c... (more »)

Marxism--noun the system of economic and political thought developed by Karl Marx, along with Friedrich Engels, especially the doctrine that the state throughout history has been a device for the exploitation of the masses by a dominant class, that class struggle has been the main agency of historical change, and that the capitalist system, containing from the first the seeds of its own decay, will inevitably, after the period of the dictatorship of the proletariat, be superseded by a so... Um... who says you can't pray in school? Prayer is private, that's all. Pray all you want; just don't ask me to pray with you.

I'm offended when people freak out on me for saying "I have no religon." It's the same thing as having a diffrent religon. I just like to think for myselff and have a open mind.

i agree with Sn3rd and kathleen. just because you have your own opinion and views doesnt mean that its right. the only way that blavkveil is going to find out is if he dies. i choose to beleive in god and i think that is the right thing to do. if there really isnt a god and the athiests are right, there really isnt anything to lose. i really beleive in god and if im right, then at least theres that. but that doesnt change the fact that its wrong for you to go around and dis other peoples religio... This is EXACTLY the kind of behavior you can expect from a religious person. You people scream and cry about the oppression of your religion, yet it's okay to oppress everyone else. Honestly, if you think the United States is a Christian nation, you're wrong. And the whole 'under God' thing wasn't even put in until almost 100 years after the founding of this country.

I'm a Christian myself and most of the people i deal with on a daily basis don't reall care for religion or are muslims or aethists. the best way to reach these people is to be calm even if you think they're wrong. God can do anything he wants and it is only Him that brings man to himself

I'm an athesist. I refuse to say the Pledge and I think its absolutely crazy when my homeroom teacher yells at me for it. Sorry I dont believe in your mysterious God. I dont care if you believe. I drop the 'F' bomb and dont care. I dont think you should bring your bible to school. Religon and schools should be seperate.

I completely agree w/ this author. Why in the world is it okay for you to go around cursing our God and everything when we talk about Him? It's wrong. Think about how hypocritical you sound.

Okay that's the worst thing you can say. It's an immature and not a supported argument. You need to grow up.

Im not the one who needs to grow up. The close minded people like you do. Its crazy to think that kids should be allowed to bring bibles to school. You go to school to learn academics not pray.

You're obviously the devil because no one else would have a problem with someone bringing a bible to school. It's like girl's wearing make-up. It's a personal choice. And you have some nerve calling me close minded. I know a lot of atheists that are a lot less close minded then you. You apparently need to look up the word in the dictionary. How old are you 8?

It's interesting because atheism is a religion really and by you refusing to say the pledge in school u efficiently bring your religion to school. I respect your views, but if you want to express your beliefs at school then others should be able to bring their bibles and pray at lunch
