I Am Offended

I am offended.

I can't pray in public

I can't sing "Joy to the World"

I can't set up a nativity scene in my front yard-

I'm "Shoving Religion" down "people's" throats.

I am offended.

Everyone speaks during the "moment of silence"

No one says the Pledge of Allegiance.

It's ok to drop the "F" bomb

But if I bring my Bible to school I'M crazy?

I am offended

Atheists can publicly denounce GOD ALMIGHTY

Catholics can cross themselves

But BAPTISTS are fanatics?

I am offended.

Liars have senate seats

Fools represent our nation

PRAYER was taken out of school

and no one has protested YET?

STAND UP, AMERICA!!

I have posted on this article before but I feel the need to post again; my last post was unclear.

Wake up; not everyone in the entire world has the same religion as you. Everyone has the right to believe what he/she believes, and though I am not an athiest, I do believe that in school, you are there to learn about academics. There is no reason for religion to be affiliated with public schools, because of the many differing opinions that people have. If you have a problem with this, the... (more »)

The Separation of Church and State is a completely sane and wonderful thing. What you are implying is that you would like to have everybody pray in school, or at least that is what i got from your passage. How would you feel if you were forced to pray in a Jewish of Musilum way at school, instead of Christian?

If we were to pray at our schools, then people from different types of religion other than christianity would be opressed. You can pray at any time in sc... (more »)

It didnt untill congress added it during the cold war. Before, it just said "stands, one nation, indivisable...". The main reason for the change was to seperate ourselves from the communists, who at the time banned religious practice in their state.

Technically catholics are not allowed to cross themselves and or pray in public school. We'd get weird looks just as much as you if you were praying or if a person from another religion was praying. I get what your saying but try and see it the other way for a second. How would people from other religions feel if you controlled the government or the schools? Probably cheated just like you feel right now. I can't really say much about the other stuff you mentioned in this piece but I can say that... (more »)

I dont think we should have prayer in school unless you go to a christian school but who is stoping you from praying to your self during school you have control over yourselves the reason we dont pray in school is because it may offend some one of different faith

Unless you go to a theistic school, prayer shouldn't be allowed.  Honesly, you have the Pledge of Allegence.  If Atheists don't say it, WE look like the bad guys, like we're going to conspire against the country, or something.  And there are a lot of "Christians" who cuss, just saying.  The political referrals, what do those have to do with Christianity?  It's not against the law to put up a Navity Scene.  Go for it, if you wish.  Furthermore, don't challenge t... Wow. We can still pray in school; I didn't know that you guys can't.

You know, politicians are so hypocritical! They are gung ho for rights of athiests, Muslims, ect., but when it comes to Christians, we just can't worship in peace. I'm sad to say, though, looking at the times, it's only going  to get worse.

Are you done yet? Are you happy? People like you are not allowed to pray and crap in public becuase the majority of you are not real christians. You pretend to be one and then judge and discriminate people who are gay and different. Enjoy complaining on the internet about how abused you are when many have it worse. I hope you are happy.
