Police Brutality

December 1, 2016
By Anonymous

On Friday, September 16,2016 in Oklahoma; an unarmed black man knows as Terence Crutcher was shot and killed by a female officer, Betty Shelby. In regards to the recent mass rush of police brutality, it has continued to destroy our citizens. The number of police brutality is rapidly increasing each day. The issue at hand lies between innocent citizens and police officers. We as human beings should come together once in for all and put an end to police brutality.

American officers are to enforce justice and uphold the law, which can be met with trustworthy employees. Police officers have equipment for many different situations, but are they really used for the right reason? In the year of 2015, nearly 1300 Americans were killed by cops alone. In recent events of police, violence has spurred in highly charged protests that linked to activist groups like #BlackLivesMatter. If a human being dies by a system we endorse, that means we are at fault. When an officer takes it upon themselves to injure or kill an innocent citizen, then there should be a full investigation. We all have rights and if a police is charged with a crime he or she should be put in prison and serve them.

In order to bring peace, there  should be solid laws enforce.  Police brutality has broken the media and is continuing until something is done. America can never be great again if peoples' lives are at risk because of an officer's assumption. A cop shouldn’t base someone’s appearance and think they’re an inimical person. If a cop can’t handle a dangerous situation without killing someone, then maybe it isn't a job for them.
