Words This work is considered exceptional by our editorial staff.

I can sit here for hours telling you all sorts of things. Lots of things. Funny things, sad things, true things, false things, fake things (and please don't get the those two mixed up. Fake and false are both very separate and different things) and not to mention true things. Oh the things one can say about truth.

You'll listen, and you'll think. But what will it all mean at the end of the day? A book in your hands or a screen in front of you and a person whose not there, and yet claims that they are at the same time.

Yes, you see the words. But these are my words. They live in my mind. They breathe. And now there in your mind. Sitting there like a crowd of people, clamoring for your attention; your understanding.

I'm there with you, right now; talking to you.

Hello, it's very nice to meet you!

This is you and me. This is communication, this is a conversation. Perhaps a bit one sided, but nevertheless, a conversation. This is the world turning slowly, the sun rising and setting and you can't deny it. Just try too.

Anyone can understand the importance of words. They're everywhere, in everything. Turning your mind, changing the world.

Words are perhaps the most important things that have ever existed. They give us the ability to express ourselves, to have freedom, to live in a world that can change with just a few syllables, or little markings on a piece of paper. Words dictate our lives. They shape us, make us. They give us a gift that we almost take for granted.

It's hard to stop and think about them properly. Words only mean what we say they mean.

Curse words, for example, are generally frowned upon. But why? Why? Because we say they're bad, that they mean terrible things. That they're impolite. We say! We speak! Suddenly lines on a paper, or sounds from our mouth, or thoughts in our head our important. This word means that, and this one is entirely different. They're incredible.

All the people who have changed the world used words. They fought with them, and yes some where a long the line they may have turned into guns, fire and destruction.

But, it all started with words. They have the ability to be so many different things and everyday we barely take time to stop and think about them. They are simply there. And I believe that's what makes them so amazing, so heart-stoppingly wonderful. They are common, barely worth a moments notice and they define us. Something so seemingly small, can change us all.

And there are so many of them. Every language different and unique. Words every where, filling the world. And, they are ours.

Ours. Not a rock we pick up, not a berry we found. A need and a passion for communication that arose in our minds. Pure creation.

Words are what make humans so incredible; so beautiful. Out of all the achievements in the world, out of all the science and technology, there is nothing more powerful, more ingenious and more creative than words.

They're all around us, just waiting. Waiting for us to seize them and do thing that have never been done before; never been heard before.

So please; please don't ever forget that they are there. That they matter. That if you have them, no one can take then away from you. They are yours, mine and everyone else's. We all have the right to words.

Love them, live them, and above all, cherish them.
